July 8th, 2019: Practicing for a Let’s Play

So I’m practicing for a Let’s Play of the Mega Man Legacy Collection, starting with the first Mega Man game. Luckily there is a Rewind Button (just need to remember to use it if I REALLY screw up something–which is often in the first Mega Man game), and also the save thing (will come in handy for the Wily Stages if I need to take a breather). Hopefully I can get into the groove of things to start on making vids.

Also, since I have Discord, I can keep my ear to the ground for upcoming games to do reviews on. It may be a while, but hopefully not too long, till I can begin freelance blogging.

Anyway, what’s new with all of you?

July 7th, 2019: Possible Let’s Play idea…

I have been considering a possibility of a Let’s Play to help get my skills in for blogging on games.

Since I have both Mega Man Legacy Collections on Steam, maybe I could do my own “Road to Mega Man 11”, similar to how the Quarter Guy on YouTube did.

I’d have to plan it out carefully, due to my current job schedule, but I might be able to help get some experience in.

So, what do you all think?

July 6th, 2019: Just been thinking…

It’s not always easy trying to find stuff to write about to keep it consistent, video game related or otherwise.

But I am part of some Discord groups that are game related–Pixel Game Maker MV, various RPG Makers, and Adventure Game Studio.

I dunno, should I sometime post there to offer an invitation to interview? Or maybe ask for some of the upcoming games to discuss? Maybe when there’s time, do a Let’s Play or two of games.

I’m asking your opinion.

July 5th, 2019: Upcoming adventure game “Brassheart”.

So I was visiting the Adventure Game Studio forum this morning, and found out about an interesting adventure game coming soon this year–may not be made with AGS (this game’s made with Unity), but it looks cool from the information so far.

The game is called Brassheart, and it’s listed as “dieselpunk”. Similar to Steampunk, but more gringy. You play as Pola Zagórska, a girl who must save her father from Valkiria, an invention of said father who has gone renegade.

The screenshots thus far, from the forum page, are just wonderful:

And the trailer is seriously cool too:

So for those who are in to the dieselpunk genre, or just really cool adventure games in general, you might want to give this a try when it comes out.

July 4th, 2019: Searching for people to talk to

To my friends in the USA, Happy Independence Day.

To my friends in the Philippines, Happy Republic Day.

To everyone else, happy Thursday.

Anyway, I just recently posted in the AGS Forum to offer the possibility to interview an Adventure Game Studio user, or announce an upcoming adventure game. That way I could get more experience in blogging so I can soon start my freelance biz.

Any takers?

July 3rd, 2019: Another interesting AGS Game

Hi, all.

Just thought I’d tell of another game from Adventure Game Studio that some might enjoy.

The game is called Tea for Two: A Detective Logan Case.

It’s a pretty short game–it was made for Adventure Jam 2019–but from the screenshots I’ve seen, it looks pretty good despite its brief length.

Basically, a mysterious lady is found dead, and it’s up to Detective Logan to find out what happened.

And it can even be played on Android phones, so try it out if you have an Android phone.

If you get a chance to, check it out. (I myself might need to give it a look-see when I get a chance to!)

July 2nd, 2019: Discussing a recent AGS Game

To kinda get into the swing of blogging about games, I thought I’d briefly discuss one of the most recent Adventure Game Studio games, Metaphobia, from Digital Mosaic Games. It came out in the middle of last month, but I figured I’d briefly touch on it now.

In this game, you play as Richard Elmstat. His father, Carl Elmstat, was assassinated shortly after being elected mayor. While a particular thief was caught, charged, and imprisoned for the murder, Richard suspects the real mastermind was his father’s political rival, Edward Raban.

From the details I’ve seen so far of this game, and some of the preview images (and trailer), I get the feeling Richard’s gonna see just how deep this rabbit hole is gonna go.

The AGS forum post can be read here, for more information: https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=57264.0

July 1st, 2019: It Has Begun!

Hi, all! Welcome to my blog!

So, I’m hoping to eventually break into the freelancer blogging biz, so I figured this’d be the perfect place for some street cred, so to speak. Originally I got a WordPress account to use Gravitar. But now I’ve found more use for this site.

What would I be blogging about? Well, video games, of course. I could probably use this as a spot to discuss the latest new indie games, share Let’s Play videos, and even interview indie game developers. The possibilities are endless.

So, yeah, just wanted to start my first blog post.

Oh, and one more thing–to my internet friends in Canada, Happy Canada Day. To the people in Ghana, Happy Republic Day. To people in Rwanda, Happy Rwandan Independence Day. To people in the USA and elsewhere, Happy Monday.
