This is the third of the Earthbound series… known as Mother 3 in Japan. This game we in the West missed out on. And this is where Lucas (in Super Smash Bros. Brawl) came from.

And yeah, it’s a shame we missed out on this game.
But it’s totally different in tone from the first two games. I mean, the first chapter and ALREADY it takes a turn for the darker. I stopped watching after a while (not sure if my attention span would hold, or if I could hold out before it really got to me). But yeah, totally different from the goofy tones of the previous two (though it does give some quirkiness to balance it out).
